This event was a very busy day for the Venango Conservation District. The doors at the Nature Lodge on Two Mile Run County Park were opened up to visitors who were able to browse displays on backyard conservation. Seedling Sale orders were picked up and a Rain Barrel workshop was provided. Here Mike Swatzler prepares a rain barrel for the workshop.

Rain Barrel Workshop participants took part in a presentation on non point source pollution and how it can be prevented with a rain barrel. Participants even recieved a rain barrel to take home.

VCD cooperators generously provided displays and backyard conservation advice to our visitors at the event. Here is Ty Ryen, Service Forester for Venango County.
